    Friendly staff

Parking very limited and need a special permit. The Hotel is in need of repairs to the roof. I had trouble locking my door at one point, the receptionist fixed it for me. There was a terrible smell of drains on the third floor and buckets on the stairs on 2nd and third floor to catch the rain dripping through the roof. The water in these buckets was brown and smelly.

The best bit about the hotel was coming home after 2 nights unabl3e to sleep!

We had trouble sleeping. It was 27+ and the heating was on full and would not switch off.We had to leave the wuindows open because of the heat.Up until 4 in the morning was constant screaming and drunks outside the hotel, follwed by seagulls screaming for the next few hours. The hotel had a techno night that was so noisy you heard it your rooms. The hotel wants to descide whether it is a hotel or nught club! They forgot to clean our room the second day. The food in the resturant was very poor and the breakfast was a dissapointment. the presentation was poor. The executive room was a very nice room but the double bed was 2 singles with a raised section in the middle.I could and would not recomend this hotel to anyone. In the bar on the night it was really rough and most of my friends felt unsafe

Staff were very friendly and helpful

The car parking was a farce - only 13 spaces as the hotel sold the car park next door.

The breakfast, for the price of £48 for the room including beakfast for 2 it was good value

The noise - first there was a party in the hotel with music blaring till 1am then the hotel must be near a nightclub and there was shouting and noise going on until 4am - I did not get any sleep, then the fire alarm went off at 8.45am, then the shower didnt work!!!!!! Not a good experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Location

It did feel a bit old and grubby especially in the restaurant area.

The staff were polite and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good.

Suitable for a person in a wheelchair???!!! This hotel was mis-sold despite enquiries being made by phone. Every time I wanted to enter the hotel I had to get a member of staff to admit me via a wind-tunnel full of rubbish as all the proper entrances were via steps; the lift needed to be called from outside in the basement in order to get down to the restaurant, necessitating my husband running downstairs in the hope of getting to the call button before I was sent off upstairs in the lift to pick up other passengers (with varying success). The "small step" into the shower (I suggest you check the definition of "walk-in" in relation to showers. I don't think a 9 inch step complies. Any random occupational therapist can put you right on this). There were no grab rails whatsoever in the bathroom which is frankly dangerous for wheelchair users, not merely inconvenient.

I stay here often and always find it a pleasure. Friendly helpful staff , excellent food and nice clean rooms.

The rooms my friend and i stayed in were extremely noisy. They were on the main street and there was constant noise throughout the night, which also wasn't helped by the wedding disco which was taking place downstairs.

The whole experiencw was very enjoyable from start to finish.A Pleasure to stay there and as I visit that area often I will stay there again.

The comfort and size of the rooms were great, with all modern amenities - and great decor - far more than we expected. Having the tavistock restaurant just next door was good so you don't need to venture to far for something to eat. The staff were very friendly, pleasant and nothing was a bother to them. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

The rooms were large and breakfast was plentiful.

I stayed there with my wife in a double and my sister and elderly father in 2 singles. When we arrived we were told that one wing of the hotel would have loud music playing until 3 am but they had moved our party to the other half which had loud music to only 10am. Dad and my Sister were on the 2nd floor but the noise was too great for them to rest so we asked to be moved after 15 minutes discussion they were eventually moved to other rooms that were quieter, this was after being told no other rooms were available. Our room. 309, was tired with mould in the corner of the bathroom and a faulty toilet flush. The bed was two singles joined together with an uncomfortable join between the two and on the other half you could feel the bed springs. The room was too hot and we could not completely turn off the radiator. Opening the window merely opening up the noise of the street. Breakfast was taken under the benefit of unwanted rock music pounding out of loud speakers behind our heads and adverts loudly spoken over the same speakers. The tea cups were stained brown and in dire need of a major clean. I booked this hotel based on Best Western Hotels I have stayed in before and have to say that if this was my first I would be vary wary of staying there in the future. It could easily be a great hotel it it really needs a renovation and do we really need rock music first thing in the morning? Look at the hotel in Nieuw Vennepp, Netherlands to see how a hotel can be improved.

Well where do I start! the staff were so friendly and welcoming and went out of thier way to make a my stay very comfortable. Breakfast and meals taken were delicious, fresh, and filling. The standard of my room etc was brilliant. A very clean and spacious (room 306) with quality furnishings, bathroom very clean and a credit to housekeeping. A special thanks to the night porter a helpful and pleasant man. Would not hesitate to return to this Hotel. Thanks to all.

Would have preferred a residents only lounge, but not a major problem.

The fact it was so central for what we needed and the car was parked on Friday evening didn't need to drive until we left on Sunday.

Well located not far from Marina where good restaurants and bars are located. Car parking ample and free.

Not impressed with service at breakfast and quality of food.
